Training Module

There are three ways to use the training module:

• View module alone: With this technique, you are able to view the Module directly from our web server. The advantage of this method is that you don't need to download or install anything. The disadvantage of this method is that you will not be able to perform the simulations as they require a Linux machine. Click here to use this method.

• Install the RPM: With this technique, you download and install a RPM on your existing Linux distribution. The advantage of this method is that you will be able to use all of the features of the training module, including running the simulations. The disadvantage of this method is that you will need to have an existing Linux machine setup and know how to install RPMs (don't choose this option if you don't already know about RPMs). Click here to download the RPM. After installing the RPM, open the following page in your web browser: /usr/local/lib/ocs/basiclinux/presentation/basiclinux.html

• Use the Live CD: With this technique boot your machine from our Live CD. The advantage of this method is that you will be able to use all of the features of the training module, including running the simulations. You will also have a Linux distrubtion to "play with" without having to install Linux on a machine that already has another Operating System. The disadvantage of this method is that it will take more time to get started as we will send you this CD via snail mail. To receive this CD, please provide us your full address via email (limited to first 100 requests, US only).
